Who we are: our twenty year pedigree

Profund is a software house dedicated to bringing state-of-the-art pension software solutions and award winning support services to the US market place.

Profund was founded in 1984 in Bath, England by four founders who had identified a gap in the market for a pensions and payroll administration system.  With six months funding and a five-year business plan, they moved into offices in Bath and developed the first version of the Profund System.

Using this software as a starting point, Hewitt Associates and Profund jointly developed the US version of the system called the Pension Administrator in 1985.  Hewitt later adopted an outsourcing model and Profund founded its US division in 1995 to continue support for the existing client base.

In 2001 Profund released Profund version 6, a 32-bit, Windows-based pension administration system, in the US market. This product, later named Profund Classic, has been installed at over 300 customer sites in the US and UK.

Recognizing the potential for progress, Profund established itself as an independent company through a management buyout in 2005.  Profund is now marketing the brand new IntelliPlan System to the total benefits marketplace.  With 20 years of consistent profitability behind us, we are looking forward to many more years of continued growth and ground breaking developments.
